[Review] TheFaceShop Blackhead Out Aloe Nose Strip

Alright…so I decided to make a review for the last day of my favourites countdown…so here it is!

2014-12-21 00.57.45

Yep…yet another pore strip. However, I got this one for $0.80, which is pretty cheap. It’s usually $1.00 (Which definitely isn’t bad), but it was 20% off that day.

They also sometimes have 40% off sales, so you could get this for a mere $0.60 + tax!

I didn’t want to expect too much from this because a lot of the pore strips I’ve tried in the past have disappointed me. I wasn’t about to give up on my search for the best pore strip, though, so I took the opportunity and got this during a sale (Only 1…I learned after my experience with the The Saem ones).

Now…I waited until it had been about a month after my last pore strip, which didn’t work too well, so I was hoping this would at least do something.

The packaging, as you can see, is pretty basic. Nothing special, but sometimes simple is best.

Anyways, this wasn’t as wide as other pore strips I’ve tried, which I didn’t really like. It did adhere and fit nicely, though.

I put this on after a shower (The steam helps open up pores) and accidentally left it on for about half an hour…I wonder if, and how much, it affected the results.

This wasn’t a disappointing pore strip. In fact, after my last disappointing pore strips, this one pleasantly surprised me.

It didn’t pull all that much from the front of my nose, but it pulled out quite a lot of blackheads and sebum and other gunk from the sides of my nose. My nose also actually felt soft after using it.

It didn’t hurt to pull off, either. And left minimal residue behind.

I’m not entirely sure what the aloe is supposed to do, though. It didn’t feel all that different from other pore strips that I’ve tried, except for the fact that it actually worked pretty well.

So…not only was this a good price, but it works well, too!

Pros:

  • Cheap
  • Adheres and fits well
  • Works well
  • Doesn’t hurt to pull off
  • Minimal residue

Cons:

  • Not as wide as other pore strips
  • Not sure why aloe is there

Overall rating: 9/10

Would I repurchase? Definitely!

In fact…during the most recent 20% off sale, I got a box of 7 for $5.60 + tax. They also have a charcoal version, which I may try next. I’m very happy that, after a string of disappointments, I’ve finally found one that works!

    • The fact that I accidentally left it on for longer than I was supposed to may have skewed the results…but they still worked really well for me, and hopefully they will for you, too.
Happy holidays and thanks for stopping by 🙂
