Alright…let’s just dive straight into this one! This review will be pretty short, but I hope you guys will enjoy it anyways.
I had a not-so-great experience with the 3-Step Kit from this line, but I decided to try this one out, just to see how it compared. Since there was nothing but the pore strip, I thought that maybe it might be a good pore strip, without all the burning (And for a lower price; this only cost me $0.50 + shipping!)
Anyways, the packaging for this is pretty cute and the strip itself was a light pink and not as wide as other pore strips I’ve tried, but it fit very well, which I liked. It also adhered well, but that was probably because the fit was nice.
Before this, I hadn’t used a pore strip for almost 2 months, so I was definitely ready to clean out my pores and hoped that this would do the job.
I left this on for a little longer than usual (By accident)…about 25 minutes. It was definitely ready to peel off by then.
Unfortunately, this sorely disappointed me. There were a few blackheads, and some sebum from the tip of my nose, and some gunk on the very edges of the pore strip, but that was about it. My nose did not feel at all smoother than before I used the pore strip, and I could tell that there was still quite a bit of gunk in my pores.
Oh well…for now, I guess I’m sticking with my Bioré strips for now. At least this was cheap.
- Cute packaging
- Good fit, adhered well
- Not as wide as other pore strips
- Didn’t pull out much gunk from my pores
Overall rating: 5.5/10
Would I repurchase? I don’t think so.
I love trying out new things (Even if some of them end up being disappointing), but I think this will be the last thing that I’ll try from the Holika Holika Pig-Nose line. With all of these failed attempts at trying out Korean pore strips, you’d think that I’d have given up at this point…but you’d be wrong. Can’t help but be curious despite all of this, I suppose.
